Key Responsibilities
The post holder will be required to manage and maintain Cartographic Support and associated outputs for the MOQ Geomatics Team in accordance with Company Core Values.

To be responsible and accountable for survey data management processes including the building and maintenance of safety critical Tracking Registers.

Work closely with the MOQ Geomatics Team and the willingness to mentor and transfer knowledge.

Assures quality and provenance of distributed Cartographic data in a timely manner.

Publish and manage all MOQ Field Charts using all available source data.

Publish and manage SIMOPS Charting on a weekly basis.

Actively manage and maintain the structure of the Cartography database to ensure all information is available intuitively.

Perform regular chart updates and revisions as required to update and publish charts folio’s for dissemination.

Deliver GIS and Fledermaus outputs as required.

Provide cartographic training and development of ACad Technicians, GIS personnel and Surveyors as required.
Who we are looking for
University Degree education preferred.
Industry recognised formal training in Civils, Cartography or Geomatics.

Training, aptitude and proficiency in a variety of drafting and visualisation applications including but not limited to AutoCAD 3D, Bentley Micro-station, Fledermaus and Surfer.

At least 10 years’ recent experience as a Cartographer dedicated to land, hydrographic survey and offshore construction for a Major Oil Company.

Demonstrable understanding of the principles and practical application of land, hydrographic and offshore construction methodologies using latest technologies.

Previous experience working for / with Offshore Survey Contractor / Oil Company is essential.

Proven communication and collaboration skills. Proactive approach to ongoing events with the ability to adapt to problems to achieve best case results.

Ability to build networks to enhance effectiveness and share knowledge.

Proven experience of introducing improvements to processes and ways of working.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Desktop Applications and the Microsoft Windows operating environment.

Fluent in written and spoken English.
