The hiring department that supports the Liner Business’s Operation from the IT side has currently about 50 employees across the world like Copenhagen, London, Algeciras, and Sao Paulo. Department members have an according cultural background. We value knowledge and expertise, particular on technical topics. Created only about 2 years ago to support the liner shipping operations business function we are in close contact with our counterparts within the operations function to improve together the way we use vessels and how we move containers for the biggest container shipping company in the world.
Key Responsibilities
• Identifying, defining and modelling data requirements
• Performing the transformation of the logical data model to the physical model and resulting database structures
• Architecting and designing solutions to business requirements in accordance with enterprise applications and technology roadmaps, principles, standards and guidelines
• Having the end-to-end vision, knowing how a logical design will translate into one or more physical Databases and how the data will flow through the successive stages involved
• Addressing issues of Data Migration (validation, clean-up and mapping), understanding the importance of Metadata
• Providing advice in such areas as data distribution strategy, data management policies and procedures, data and database administration, data management software selection and physical database design and tuning
• Maintaining and enhancing the Enterprise Logical Data Model
• Data consultancy; identifying True Source of Data and acceptable substitutes
• Establishing Standards of Best Practise
Who we are looking for
Data is key for driving the right decisions. We are looking for a capable data architect that supports our department in understanding our data better and guides our use of data across our IT Landscape. The data architect will analyse existing application and message data, establish a shared view of available data, will advise on the use of data, select the right data source and design the underlying structure of data for applications. These activities need to be aligned with the data strategy of the organisation.

• More than 4 years of experience in
o Data Requirements gathering from key stakeholders
o Data Analysis – identify/define business data element requirements in collaboration with the business
o Data Profiling
o Physical Database Design
o Data Mapping from one system to another

• Solution Architecture Development (contribute)
