Maersk is the largest shipping and container logistics company in the world. A $40bn organisation with over 85,000 people, we ship roughly 20% of the world’s container freight. We’re bringing our organisation together to become an integrated container shipping and logistics company, fundamentally re-thinking how we do business. Improving our customer experience is a core priority.
Technology systems are an integral part of this change. We're re-crafting both our customer-facing systems and our data-intensive operational ones, to provide outstanding services and experience to our customers.
We need a Visual Design Lead to help shape this future.
Joining Maersk T&L will embark you on a great journey with career development in a global organisation. As UX Architect you will gain broad business knowledge of the company’s activities globally, as well as understand how the complexity of IT supports the transport and logistics business.
You will be exposed to a wide and challenging range of business issues through regular engagement with key stakeholders across all management levels within Maersk.
You will work and communicate across geographical and cultural borders that will enable you to build a strong professional network. We believe people thrive when they are in charge of their career paths and professional growth. We will provide you with opportunities to broaden your knowledge and strengthen your technical and professional foundation.
By choosing Maersk, you join not only for the role, but for a career. From here your path may take you towards extended responsibilities within Application Development, IT Delivery or IT Leadership.
We aim to be a world-class professional IT organisation that delivers business value through automation, standardisation and innovation. We believe in empowerment where each of us takes ownership and responsibility for developing and implementing new ways of working.
You'll be part of a larger experience design studio across the UK and Denmark, working alongside our organisational owners, service designers, interaction designers, qual & quant researchers, engineering teams, and more.
The role is twofold:
You will be primary custodian of the visual design standards and motion design in our design system, in-line with our corporate identity. You will work across teams and help mature the ability to deliver design. You'll develop this in partnership with a lead interaction designer, front-end engineers and other stakeholders in the organisation.
You will also be involved in concept design work and presentation for the team, helping paint a picture of the future.
This is your opportunity to flex a thirty billion dollar business - and measure your impact.
