Maersk Oil in Esbjerg, Denmark, is looking for an instrument technician to join the offshore Maintenance team on the Tyra West platform in the North Sea.

Key Responsibilities
You will assist with the daily maintenance of the production equipment. This includes maintenance, optimisation and operation of the turbine-driven equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

Other responsibilities include:
• Troubleshooting and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment on the platform
• Preventive maintenance on equipment
• Installation, calibration and replacement of process instrumentation/equipment
• Optimization of various equipment

Your main work areas will be rotating equipment, instrumentation, low voltage power, HVAC, valves etc.

Besides on-the-job training offshore, you will attend a number of courses which cover safety-related as well as technical training.

You will work in a rotation of 2 weeks offshore and 3 weeks at home. Courses and other activities may be conducted during the home stay period. During the 14 days offshore, you will work 12-hour shifts.
Who we are looking for
You have an electrical or turbine background, or you may have worked as a travelling fitter. Knowledge of process control and process instruments or equipment related to such will be an advantage.

The ideal candidate has experience from the offshore industry, process industry, power plant or similar.
Knowledge of maintenance and fault-finding on equipment will be an advantage. Experience from working with gas turbines will be an advantage.

A vital aspect for us is that you are aware of the importance of safety. You are service-minded, responsible and take ownership for your tasks. As a technician, you also need to be flexible, open-minded and ready to work across trades. You are characterised by strong collaboration and social skills, a robust mind and a good health.

Besides full proficiency in English, it will be an advantage you can read and speak Danish.
