Key Responsibilities
This role will be a part of the Finance team which is responsible for overall support of the SeaLand strategy through ad-hoc and project-based analysis, as well as the continuous reporting of activities linked to the overall strategy. The department works closely with Senior Management, Commercial, Operations, Network and the SeaLand Country Clusters on a recurring basis. Developing strong relationships across all levels of the organization through knowing the numbers is key skill as an analyst on the Finance team.

Key Responsibilities
•Analyze and build financial models to support go-to-market strategies including asset deployment, new product offerings, cost savings initiatives, leading indicators, and overall performance measures.
•Create/maintain/automate standardized reporting for all areas of SeaLand, enhancing overall financial transparency and data quality on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
•Accurately monitoring commercial, operational and network developments measuring results against relevant standards and explaining variances
•Develop and support all strategic budget/performance KPIs, challenging the operational and executive teams using financial data
•Partner with and lead the Global Service Center team to ensure the accurate and timely posting/approval of invoices, as well as efficient and accurate reporting of costs and revenue
•Ensure that revenue and costs are accurately reported and that SeaLand’s books are accurately reflect by creating month/year end accruals
•Lead and advise senior management in the forecasting and development of SeaLand’s overall company strategy
•Create and deliver presentations to key stakeholders on plans and strategies to grow the bottom line
•Provide cross function financial and systems support/feedback across all business units
Who we are looking for
We are looking for a pro-active individual who has the ability to challenge the status quo at all levels of the organization. Since you will have daily interaction with many internal customers, it is imperative that you have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education and Experience:

•BA / BS preferably in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or related field
•3-7 years of work experience from a similar position within business control, performance management, business development or equivalent.

Technical Skills and Competencies - Required:

•Analytic mind-set – with the ability to visualize the “big picture”, review complex problems and provide solutions
•A strong understanding of Financial ‘business drivers’
•Advanced skills in MS Office (Excel/Word/Power Point/Access)
•A team player with a “can do” attitude
•Self-starter and process-minded
•Strong communication skills with the ability to speak and write in English
•Ability to develop interpersonal relationships

Technical Skills and Competencies – Preferred:

•SAP, Business Warehouse, and Business Objects knowledge/skills
•Business Understanding – Shipping and Intra Americas trade
•A diverse background in cross functional business areas
•Experience in participating in cross-functional teams working on technical and operational projects
