You will be working within Mechanical’s area of responsibility in a highly independent position.
|In close cooperation with other departments the group undertakes preventive maintenance and repair, specific and coordinates maintenance activities, ensures that technical standards and maintenance strategies reflect current best practice. |
You will be working with maintenance and technical troubleshooting within one or more of following areas: Generators, pumps, valves, hydraulic systems.
- Preparation and update of maintenance procedures mechanical equipment within the area of responsibility
- Follow up on repair and replacement of components offshore and in vendors workshops
- Support to offshore personnel
- Preparation of root cause analysis for failures across assets
- Support and investigation in connection with major break-downs
- Occasional duty
The work will primarily take place in Maersk Oil Business Unit Head office, in Esbjerg. You will be involved in maintenance projects from their conception through detailed design to testing, implementation offshore and the subsequent maintenance activities. Furthermore you will provide technical support to other departments in the organization.
Expect some travel activities to visit our offshore facilities and abroad. You will join a varied and dynamic, international environment with a high level of activity. Our international engagement can on a longer term offer stationing abroad.

|As a person, you are a team player, good at connecting with other people, but also able to take initiative as well as motivate yourself to work independently with high level activities and ad hoc problems. Working systematically and results oriented, you take a structured approach to your tasks and keep a detailed overview of them. |
The successful candidate has work experience from a similar position including project and operations experience in mechanical engineering. Knowledge of the oil and gas industry is preferred as well as experience from the offshore industry in general is optimal. You thrive by working independently and efficiently. You are motivated and have the ability to strive towards technically and financially optimal solutions.
In addition you have
- Mechanical or Marine Engineering and a wide theoretical and practical background
- Work experience within a related field
- Knowledge of API standards,
- Interest in offshore oil and gas production,
- Strong analytical skills, as you have the IT skills to easily learn specialist programmes
- Good communicator in both Danish and English, as you will be writing technical notes, recommendations and similar in both languages.
