Maersk Oil Qatar is looking to appoint a Senior Project Planner for a major field development project in Qatar. The Senior Project Planner will report to the Lead planning Engineer and will primarily be responsible for the development, monitoring, tracking, analysis and interrogation of schedules relating to any FDP 2014 project activities that fall within the interface to the Al Shaheen field and the 2 year window of the Integrated Activity Plan (IAP). You will also assume responsibility for managing the IAP process as it pertains to activities on the FDP 2014 project.

Key Responsibilities
As the Senior Project Planner you will be reporting to the Lead Planning Engineer within the Project Controls Team.
The key responsibilities are comprised of the development, monitoring, tracking, analysis and interrogation of schedules relating to any FDP 2014 project activities that fall within the interface to the Al Shaheen field and the 2 year window of the Integrated Activity Plan (IAP). This will mean interfacing with existing projects and maintaining a clear view of windows of opportunity with respect to shutdowns and coordination with the shutdown planning team. You will develop and coordinate the inclusion of plans and schedules for activities being carried out in the field by the FDP 2014 project whilst always complying with applicable company standards and procedures.
You will further be responsible for all tasks connected to the IAP process as it pertains to FDP2014 which includes TRFs, IAP planning meetings and any other alignment activities required to maintain an effective process.
You will be expected to work autonomously and develop and maintain effective working relationships with the integrated project team to ensure project schedules carry accurate logic and sequencing. You will also be required to ensure an effective working relationship with the MOQ Business Unit and the IAP team.
During the execution of your responsibilities you will be expected to always comply with Maersk Oil Incident Free philosophy, company Core Values and all standards and procedures as they apply to the project.
Who we are looking for
You will likely have a Bachelor Degree from a nationally accredited university within engineering, business management or equivalent and preferably a planning certificate from a recognized international certifying body.
Further you will be able to demonstrate a minimum of 5 years’ experience of working in a major Capital Project Office environment in the Upstream Oil & Gas industry (preferably offshore development) from Client or Contractor side in a similar capacity and with planning experience in a brownfield environment. You will be able to demonstrate a minimum of 10 years hands on experience using Primavera version 6.2 or later.
You will be able to provide examples from your knowledge and experience in the follow areas:
• Developing schedules based on a number of information sources;
• Interacting with an integrated activity planning function and shutdown planning function;
• Planning in a brownfield environment;
• Analyzing and interrogating Contractor schedules and providing scenario plans for mitigation;
• Importing/exporting data within Excel and Primavera;
• WBS and Activity Coding layouts when structuring plans;
• Schedule risk analysis and use of Primavera Risk Analysis (Pertmaster);
• Critical path analysis;
• Ability to ask the right questions to interpret information accurately for schedule input.
