We are looking for an analyst to support the bunker planning and to follow up on the current bunker plans for the vessels in SVITZER – providing a unique opportunity to work with finding the cheapest ports for bunkering the vessels in an international environment where you can make a measurable difference.

Svitzer is the largest global company within towage. Our annual volumes exceed 45 thousand tons of bunkers with a turnover of $25 million.
You will be working closely with Maersk Oil Trading’s fuel and gas oil desks, which they manage an annual flow of 12 million tons of bunkers with a turnover, exceeding $6 billion from their trading offices across the world. They are the largest buyer in the bunker market, accounting for approximately 5% of the global volume.
The position will allow the successful candidate to develop competences within operation of complex optimization and participate / manage projects related to further improving the processes for saving total bunker costs for Svitzer Europe.
You will be part of a truly international organization constantly striving for improving the total costs for bunkering.
|Key tasks will be to order the bunkers, analyse the inputs are accurate and supporting the overall optimization of the bunker plans. Inputs comes from vessels, traders and various systems providing the relevant constraints for securing Svitzer is sourcing bunkers at the overall lowest possible costs for the tugs. |

· Process optimizations
· Through dialogue with our system developers improve processes and overall optimization
· Training of users
· Developing relevant communication to all stakeholders.
|Who we are looking for|
|You can either have a bachelor or master degree with the interest in working with applied optimization or you can come from the maritime industry.|
Irrespective of background you must have good mathematical flair and IT understanding (user of Microsoft Office package).
The right candidate will be part of a small team all focusing on optimizing the bunker planning for the Svitzer Europe fleet.
The position will be base from our Copenhagen office and will report directly to the Procurement Manager, based in the UK.
