We are looking for Buyer, Supply Chain Marine to be a part of our ambitious team based in Mumbai, Manila and Copenhagen.Group Procurement is a Group Service Function within the A.P. Key Responsibilities
1.Liaison with fleet group superintendent and vessels on regular basis and handle all types of requisitions (urgent/ regular) and orders for container vessels.
2.Ensure orders are placed with consideration of optimal price, delivery time and quality.
3.Responsible for logistics arrangement for all orders to be placed on the assigned vessels
Send out inquiries to a minimum of 3 suppliers for each purchase (provided no fixed price exists and 3 valid suppliers in place)
4.Timely handling of invoices related to purchasing of spares and consumables, invoices to be handled in due time with consideration for meeting agreed payment terms alongwith all invoices to be submitted by suppliers prior to shipping date
5.Follow-up on deliveries to central warehouse in Rotterdam and deliveries made directly to vessels from either central warehouse or local deliveries directly from suppliers
6.Timely forwarding of spares to designated vessel under consideration for matter of urgency and economic impact.
7.Receive, review and submit Purchase Orders, Requests for Quotation as needed and to ensure timely submission of purchase orders

Who we are looking for
1.Person with 2 -7 yrs. of relevant work experience
2.Good Analytical skills to determine the best deals for the company based on price, quality, speed of delivery & other factors.
3.Preferably someone with a broad knowledge on the subjects, e.g. technical insight, vessel operations, customs rules and regulations in the countries which our vessels trade
4.Understanding of international supply chain and its related components
5.Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to communicate at all levels. (Technical vessel superintendents, Suppliers, Category Managers etc.).
6.Multi-tasking, being comfortable handling numerous tasks within limited timeframes in a structured manner with eye for the detail level necessary
7.Good decision making & ability to negotiate
