We are looking for a Chief Engineer to provide Maintenance input to the FSO design process and be involved in FSO Ailsa Maintenance and Operations activities required to develop the necessary infrastructure, management systems, and contract services required to achieve the successful start-up and operation of the Culzean facilities.

Key Responsibilities
• Commitment to MOUK Incident Free operations
• Be located in the Aberdeen Office and latterly the Contractor’s Office/Yard on a rotational basis to provide Operations input to the FSO Ailsa’s Operational Readiness for safe start-up.
• Travel to construction site as required providing operations input on a rotational basis during construction phase
• Provide consistent Maintenance and Operations input to the design and delivery of a FSO Ailsa which can be operated effectively and efficiently
o HAZID / HAZOP and associated action close out
o Layout development and participation in formal design reviews
o Review and Operations approval of FEED deliverables
o Development of Integrated Operations requirements
o Input to Procurement of FSO Ailsa Long Lead Equipment
• Creation of the necessary Maintenance Operations capability and team to run the Culzean FSO Ailsa facility
• Support the development and implementation of the Culzean training and competency management system
• Work with the Project Team to develop the interface between Maintenance, Operations, Construction and the HUC scope to deliver a smooth, Incident Free startup of Culzean production
• Development and Implementation of Operational Readiness Plan under guidance of Operations Manager
• Transfer to offshore rota to support FSO Ailsa HUC and operations

Offshore
• Day to day management of the Culzean FSO Ailsa Maintenance team
• Integration and implementation of the MOUK Control of Work System
• Provide input to major accident hazard management, in particular the prevention, detection, control, mitigation and response to major accidents
• Directly responsible for the management and effective use of the maintenance management system, to demonstrate compliance with asset verification scheme, maintenance of all safety and business critical equipment, management of backlog KPIs and an audit trail for Regulatory authorities
• Directly responsible for Class CMS and offshore focal point for maintaining records and managing outstanding CCs issued at Class surveys and renewal
• Responsible for contributing to and ensuring maintenance of:
o Facility registers ( including PSV, Flexible Hose, Set Point and 3rd Party Registers)
o Critical spares lists
o Facility operational, maintenance and shutdown plans
• Supervise, coach and support direct reports in a professional manner
• Responsible for controlling costs within scope of responsibility
• In co-operation with the FSO Ailsa Marine Supervisor and onshore support, jointly responsible for ensuring systems, structure and moorings are inspected and maintained to Class, Flag State and Company Verification standards

Who we are looking for
• Significant experience of FPSO / FSO operations as a marine engineer in a supervisory position
• Holds Second Engineer Certificate, STCW 95, Steam / Motor, Management Level
• Ability to create positive relations to peers and stakeholders internally and externally
• Previous involvement in major design / HUC project
• Proven track record of technical and people leadership skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to present technical issues in a clear and concise manner; proficiency in written and verbal English are prerequisites
• Familiar with Major Accident Hazards and knowledge of key safety legislation and regulations
• Technical knowledge with operating and maintenance experience on marine and plant with power generation, high voltage distribution, rotary and reciprocating machinery
• Experience of maintenance planning, organising, coordinating and control / monitoring work across a range of disciplines
• Manage risks effectively. Be action orientated, results driven and able to inspire others
