Maersk Drilling USA is currently looking for an entry-level Junior Accountant to join our Finance Team in Houston, TX.

Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Junior Accountant in the Finance Team include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Responsible for archiving accounting records
  • Coding invoices and processing for approval
  • Answering vendor questions by phone and/or email
  • Processing third party and intercompany invoices
  • General accounting records and support
  • Assist with processing payments and performing bank reconciliation
  • Assist with and execute ledger reconciliation and matching tasks
  • Assist with preparation of ad hoc tasks
  • Assist with month, quarter, annual-end close
Who we are looking for
  • Fluent English, both verbal and written
  • Bachelor Degree in Economics or related Accounting field preferred
  • Possess effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proven ability to identify issues, requirements and opportunities for improvement
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required
  • Experience with CODA is a plus
  • Ability to quickly learn various ERP and software systems
  • Team player, strong relationship building and influencing skills
  • High integrity and personal credibility
  • Demonstrated experience in maintaining confidentiality of financial files and information
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Self-starter, highly organized and the ability to prioritize
  • Ability to multi task and maintain flexibility
  • Professional attitude and demeanor
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship
