A leading role in the Maersk Oil Qatar Communication’s team, responsible for overseeing internal and external communications and the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities of MOQ. Supporting the Head of Communications in devising and implementing major strategic communication plans. Deputizes for the Head of Communication in his absence.

Key Responsibilities
Provides input and support to the yearly reputation management planning process and action plan.
Identifies communication team KPI's and monitors implementation.
Leads the communications team in coordinating all external communication plans and activity (in particular: priority stakeholder identification and engagement activity; branding and visibility activity; participation in conferences and exhibitions)
Maintains an up-to-date understanding of the short/medium and long-term operational requirements of the business by developing and maintaining an effective working relationship with the Head of Communication and the executive management team.
Gains working knowledge of industry trends.
Works closely with the Head of Communications, and the Social Investment Manager to develop and own the communications team budget, ie identifies budget needs; tracks and monitors all expenditure.
Works closely with the Head of Communications, and the Social Investment Manager to develop the CSR strategy and plan.
Prepares the MOQ stakeholder identification and prioritization list and assists in developing MOQ’s annual stakeholder engagement plan for high priority stakeholders.
Prepares briefing/speaker notes for senior management meetings to ensure that MOQ presents a consistent, strategic and aligned position when engaging with senior stakeholders in Qatar.
Identifies conferences and events of strategic value to MOQ, producing delivery plans and leading communications support of delivery (including development and sign-off of stand materials, all external speeches and presentations etc).
Responsible for identifying objectives and scope for corporate advertising, identifying preferred suppliers, setting up contract agreements, managing/overseeing the delivery of required work
Works closely with MOQ HR team to identify and deliver corporate advertising / recruitment / Qatarization activity (ensuring alignment with overall MOQ narrative and brand awareness / positioning efforts).
Responsible for identifying scope (requirements) for all film and video work, identifying preferred suppliers, setting up contract agreements, managing/overseeing the delivery of required work
Responsible for identifying competency gaps and training requirements within the communications team
Leads objective setting, MyCareer, PDP and all performance management discussions, including annual calibration sessions
Responsible for supporting the professional development of Qatari colleagues by mentoring and providing practical support, guidance and challenge.
Responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the communication team, collaborating with and supporting the Head of Communication, eg press releases, preparation of presentations and speeches, internal communications etc, and participation in communication-led and supported events.

Maersk Oil Qatar AS is the leading oil producer offshore Qatar and a recognized pioneer in oil development and production techniques.
