Maersk Oil is looking for a Project Engineering Manager who will be responsible for managing the engineering aspects of the project initially through the SELECT / DEFINE (FEED) stage and thereafter the Execution stage. This will include project engineering team set-up and alignment with the project strategy, objectives and scope and completing the required project framing for each stage.

Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include set-up of the site engineering team, contract execution and project engineering delivery and close-out. The Engineering Manager will also be responsible for the governance, quality and assurance of any delivered package, and be involved with identified value improving practices, e.g. Operability/Constructability reviews.
Responsibilities:
Through a Line of Sight reporting and governance structure the Project Engineering Manager is responsible for, but not limited to:
• Manage and lead the project engineering function to ensure the delivered facilities are safe, possess the right technical quality, are operable and present optimum value for life of field solution.
• Participate in the planning and scheduling of Engineering for the project, ownership of the project technical document register and input procurement register.
• Ensure that the Engineering team is fully resourced, and that that team’s performance is managed via regular performance discussions, appraisals and development activities.
• Manage the discipline FEED and detailed designs activities including deliverables definition, work processes, decision making, design tools/methods, set up of technical authorities, etc.
• Understand and manage the HSSE aspects of the design (HAZIDS, HAZOPS, HFE, etc).
• Ensure that engineering deliverables generated by the project engineering and delivery teams meet the Maersk Oil company and project requirements in terms of technical quality and content and follow project specific procedures such as the engineering plan, quality plan, document numbering and levels of approval.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for a Project Engineer Manager, who possess an accredited university degree in an appropriate engineering discipline, chartered engineer status or equivalent professional affiliation, with experience in the definition and design of Greenfield Oil & Gas facilities (for Offshore) minimum;
• Possess 20 yrs. experience in Offshore Oil & Gas Facilities engineering design, procurement, and construction and commissioning with a good understanding of technical integrity management systems, project management systems, quality and technical assurance systems, change management.
• Possess prior experience working in environments where ‘Incident Free’, ‘Process Safety’ and Safety have been of utmost priority, allied to Hazard Identification Risk Assessment activities.
• Possess prior experience through the FEED and Detailed Engineering stages of multiple delivery packages, ensuring a quality, consistency, compliance and integration, with an emphasis on Greenfield Engineering of Wellhead and Process/Utility Platforms – at least two FEED / EPC projects.
• Possess experience in the development and mentoring of discipline engineers in the Middle East.
• Competent in managing interfaces with internal and external stakeholders at the relevant levels.
• Excellent teamwork, leadership, presentation and communication skills, including fluency in oral and written English.
• Be prepared to work with the MOQ Engineering Manager and Discipline Chiefs (Corporate) to ensure a common design approach and alignment on competence levels.
