Key Responsibilities
You will support the Project Services Manager in all matters relating to cost and finance. Tasks will include:
• Develop and update project cost estimates, including cost phasing
• Maintain actual costs and commitments together with preparing and maintaining accurate forecasts to completion
• Preparing, maintaining and updating the Tyra Future Technical Assurance sheets which form the basis for the project economics
• Calculating value of work done & earned value management, accruals and preparing and reviewing forecasts, phasing and payment schedules
• Cost input to monthly project report
• Interface with finance and accounts
• Support ESAR, CSRA and IPA benchmarking exercises
• Manage budget and phasing in SAP / BPC (Business Process Control)
Who we are looking for
Previous experience in cost control positions in large projects
With Certification in Cost Engineering, commercial background, technical education or equivalent relevant experience. Engineering background, although not essential, can be an added advantage.
Excellent analytical & data management, oral and written skills
Familiarity with cost control tools - SAP, Business Warehouse/Intelligence, etc is highly desirable
Competent in cost control practices (CBS, VoWD, EVM, Accruals and Management of Change)
Practical experience of project execution (Project Controls, C&P and Construction)
Proven interpersonal and relationship skills from complex environments with multicultural teams – you communicate well with all levels of an organisation.
You are flexible and hardworking where you meet demands of tight schedules on a daily basis
You possess the ability to make judgment and decisions on assigned work and you know when to escalate problems to the next level
