As Business Finance Manager in Maersk Oil Danish Business Unit, you set the direction, lead, motivate and develop a team of 5 Business Analysts. Embracing the role as manager and focal point in the finance team will be a key to your success in this position as you create results through others.

As Business Finance Manager you will partner with the business to provide strategic input, and to support and challenge business decision-making. The role is a primary Finance interface to the business.
Key Responsibilities
You will play a key role in achieving business goals by supplying key business information timeously and ensuring appropriate challenge and rigour is applied to business plans and forecasts of assets as well as projects, while ensuring the relevant support to internal and external stakeholders. You will lead a team of business analysts and ensure consistency of approach and quality of insight. Support and challenge of key operational and strategic decisions whilst providing advice on key planning assumptions, opportunities and risks will be key in this position.
Further you will be responsible for:

  • Act as the primary interface between actuals and forecasts; analyse and understand the holistic picture of the business
  • Own and execute budget and forecasting processes
  • Design, review, analyse and ensure delivery of all aspects of forecasts and business plans for assets, projects and the business to Maersk Oil and Joint Venture partners
  • Act as an integrator of all finance functions and be the primary interface to the business
  • Build effective working relationships with other departments in Maersk Oil and other parties
  • Support asset and project performance reviews and provide guidance and constructive challenge to asset management to drive more commercially conscious decision making
  • Actively support a working culture based on respect for health, safety and environmental issues and maintenance of a high level of asset integrity

Who we are looking for
  • Qualified finance/economics professional
  • Highly analytical, able to work with large volumes of data, present assumptions and risk, draw conclusions and present recommendations
  • Previous direct leadership experience will be an advantage
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with and challenge senior stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to present finance information in executive documentation, as well as support decision making process
  • Understanding of value and performance drivers for assets/projects
  • Strong business partnering skills
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong PowerPoint skills
  • Solid experience from the Oil and Gas industry will be an advantage
