This position reports to the Managing Director of Maersk Namibia (Pty) Ltd

The successful candidate will work within a large Global team of inspiring and driven individuals, with an opportunity to act as a Sales Brand Ambassador for Maersk Namibia.
Key Responsibilities
Job Overview:
*To deliver volume and revenue targets for Maersk Namibia
*Identify and develop business opportunities under your responsibility
*To ensure the Namibian customers’ expectations in terms of experience and access exceeded
*Build and manage (internal and external) close and deep customer relationships
*To ensure opportunities are pursued and clear sales plans and sales activity are delivered
*To monitor performance against KPI and take corrective action where necessary
*To share and collaborate with the Namibia customer services team for an integrated approach to customers
*To ensure overall coordination and support between Sales Managers in the Maersk Southern Africa Cluster
*Maintain a high Brand awareness and partake in selected CSI initiatives for Maersk Namibia
*Promote and develop the hinterland service offering
*Ensure correct usage and updates of our Customer Relationship Management system
Coaching and development:
*Challenges and supports Maersk Southern Africa Cluster sales manager in developing and implementing sales strategy
Sales Support:
*Maintains sound relationships with top accounts
*Maintains relationships with Maersk Southern Africa Cluster sales managers to facilitate best practice sharing
Sales Performance:
*Develops a sales and forecasting plan, that is shared with customer services ensuring overall goal alignment
Develop and maintain sales strategy:
*Recommends and agrees on an effective commercial strategy with the Maersk Regional manager
*Leverages understanding of local business environment to support the development of sales and marketing and Brand strategy

*Proven working experience as a sales manager or senior sales executive
