Maersk Line IT is looking for an IT Analyst who will work with us in the Commercial vertical. The primary focus of the team is to develop and enhance applications which are supporting our Commercial Global processes.

This role will mainly be involved in enhancing the key applications used in Route and Cost Management. These key applications are used 24/7 by our colleagues globally in Maersk Line. They have major downstream impact to our portal Maerkline.com, Pricing and Booking systems.

The role will be based in Maidenhead and will work closely with our key stakeholders in Copenhagen, China, Manila and India so travel to these countries may be required.

The IT Analyst will work with the business process owners to understand new business requirements and translate them into detailed functional and non-functional requirements.

He/She will also be responsible in doing impact assessment of application changes to upstream and downstream applications, manage the end to end testing and facilitate in user training.

Key Responsibilities
• Gather functional and non-functional requirements from business process owner and identify business value of each requirement.
• Perform structured analysis, impact assessment and data modelling.
• Develop solution with data architects, business process owners and development vendors.
• Define system and user acceptance test strategy and user cases
• Manage end-to-end testing
• Identify performance efficiency barriers and propose solutions
• Develop training modules for new features and conduct trainings to key business users.
• Facilitate post-implementation support and system enhancement
• Perform other tasks defined by manager (typically within Technical and Business Analysis)
• Keeping up to date with current trends in IT
Who we are looking for
Experience
• Holds a degree in IT and has relevant experience in Application Development Projects.
• At least 2 years of experience in business analysis, requirements gathering and Application Development Projects and is familiar with various methodologies; Waterfall, Agile, etc.
• In-depth knowledge in Requirements gathering and documentation
• Good Experience in application testing
• Ability to partner with IT Vendor to identify course of IT solution.
• Understanding of Maersk Line Business Systems Landscape is a plus.
