Maersk Oil Qatar is currently developing and expanding the facilities in the Al Shaheen Field offshore Qatar. The Qatari Development Programme (QDP) is a two year programme designed specifically for recent University graduates to help them make the transition from the academic environment to the professional workplace. Some focus areas of this programme are learning about yourself & others, building relationships with colleagues and managers, organizing and prioritizing tasks and workload, as well as project management. This includes various methods such as workshops, Action Learning Sets, on the job learning, and group work.

Key Responsibilities
• Provides timely and efficient response to end users, based on the IT Tickets received, on a day-to-day basis through the call management System and properly escalates more complicated issues to L3 teams;
• Monitors services delivery status and follow up;
• Implements desktop operating systems and software including the provision of the necessary equipment, both hardware and software, to Maersk Oil Qatar’s employees;
• Provides User Support and service during office hours and, when needed, Service Desk Duty service in emergency situations, in line with MOQ guidelines;
• Manages issues in Active Directory including but not limited to creating users, disabling users, update the users information;
• Manages the installation and configuration tasks in the section.
• Monitors daily alerts generated by Systems, and ensures that all the alerts are assigned to the relevant team;
• Implements new systems as required.
• Test and support encryption systems and anti-virus packages along with system and data security services to protect confidential data.
• Document areas of infrastructure including support processes and procedures (SOPs).
• Perform maintenance on systems monthly/as necessary due to system failures or lifecycle management to include testing and documenting changes to provide assurance that security, hardware/software, image, and driver patches are appropriately applied.
• Support remote offices and locations offshore.
• Liaise with other local and global IT specialists/architects.
• Evaluate operations within area of responsibility and recommend enhancements.

• Represent company with vendors and contractors.
• Designs, implements and documents operations, in coordination with Sr. Manager, Head of Support Services and in line with MOQ’s guidelines;
• Ensures that documentation related to hardware and systems are kept up to date and accessible including tagging, registering in order to monitor status for future changes;
• Manage consultants, vendors, or service providers assigned within area of responsibility.
• Researching and identifying required products and associated costs from vendors.
• Develop structure of vendor proposals to adhere to required scope of work and allocated budget.

Who we are looking for
Qatari nationals with 0-2 years work experience who have a Bachelors degree in a Technology related field from an accredited University with a final GPA of no less than 3.0. Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification preferred.
