|To provide Engineering support to Maersk Oil Qatar (MOQ) in accordance with approved procedures and guidelines, design limitations, technical standards and legislative requirements on rotating equipment.|

•Organize and supervise the activities and work of junior staff to ensure compliance tor relevant health, safety (occupational & process) and environmental excellence procedures and controls within area of responsibility to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance and a responsible environmental attitude.
•Contribute to the strategy development and implementation for the Asset.
•Identify opportunities and champion initiative that enable maximum production and injection output within the parameter of environmental compliance and process safety.
•Provide the Team Lead with regular reports with analysis and comment on performance and results, and to be held accountable for area of responsibility.
•Endure efficient coordination of own offshore activities to minimize production disruptions and ensure maximum value is extracted form any downtime opportunities.
•Work with relevant functional groups to establish long term strategic priorities, targets and annual plans in line with MOQ polices and guidelines; ensure successful execution.
•Work in a multi-discipline team to contribute to the overall objective of the Operations Engineering Support team.
Key Engineering activities include
•Engineering calculations / analysis related to specific rotating equipment including :
-Performance and condition evaluation for centrifugal gas compressors, gas turbines, centrifugal process pumps, vertical shaft in-line and electro submersible pumps, diesel engines and reciprocating power pumps.
-Analysis of system design parameter including gas thermodynamic, factors affecting gas turbine performance and hydraulic design of pump systems.
-Carry out review and trend analysis of operating vs design conditions on rotating equipment packages and their auxiliary systems.
-Rotating equipment reliability and optimization.
•Assist and provide engineering support to the Operational Excellence programme.
•Support the Management of Change on brownfield installation in the Al Shaheen field.
•Assist, coordinate and / or participate in incident / Near miss investigations.
|Who we are looking for|
•BEng, BSc, MEng or MSc in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or other relevant degree qualification.
•Minimum 10 years of experience in Oil and gas upstream processing facilities
-Brownfield (Operations Support)
-Greenfield (Detailed design)
The candidate should also
•Have a proven and detailed knowledge and understanding of
-Oil; & Gas rotating equipment and associated auxiliary system design in offshore applications
-Oil & Gas process safety
-International Industry Standards applicable to rotating machinery
-Maersk Oil Technical standards MOTS (preferably)
•Ability to read, write and understand relevant drawings such as but not limited to P&ID, isometric and steel structure drawings.
•Team player showing individual initiative, responsibility and integrity.
•Strong interpersonal and English communication - Written and spoken
