The Culzean project is one of the UK North Sea’s most exciting. With the potential to deliver around 5% of the UK’s energy needs, this complex uHPHT field is one of the largest discoveries in the UK North Sea in recent years.

The purpose of this role is to provide Maintenance input to the FSO design process and be involved in FSO Maintenance and Operations activities in order to develop the necessary infrastructure, management systems and contract services required to achieve successful start-up and operation of the Culzean facilities.

Key Responsibilities
The FSO Chief Engineer will provide consistent Maintenance and Operations input to support the design and delivery of the FSO which can be operated safely and efficiently.

You will be required to work at the contractors offices on a rotation basis providing operations input to the FSO’s detailed design. There will also be a requirement to relocate to the construction site, as required, providing operations input during the construction phase.

The position will latterly move offshore to support HUC and in due course take a lead role in accepting handover of “ownership of responsibility” for the FSO facilities at production start-up and support subsequent operations.

This role will particularly focus on ensuring that Culzean can safely deliver high performance production efficiency via the provision of a highly reliable condensate export route and offload facilities on the FSO.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for a Chief Engineer with significant offshore experience of FPSO/FSO marine operations. You will have previous involvement in major design and construction /HUC project with solid technical knowledge with operating and maintenance experience on marine and plant with power generation, high voltage distribution, rotary and reciprocating machinery.

This position requires a driven, ambitious team player who has excellent communication skills allied with an uncompromising Incident Free mindset. The ability to plan, organise, coordinate and control/monitor work across a range of disciplines in a dynamic and challenging environment is vital.

Holder of Second Engineer Certificate, STCW 95, Steam / Motor, Management Level.
