Working from our Esbjerg Office, you will be part of an experienced Leadership Team of six managers within the Facility and Projects organisation in our Dan/Gorm asset. The asset is a highly developed brown field and you will have a pivotal role in determining the future engineering on the platforms in the asset.

Our Esbjerg Office constitutes the headquarters for all Maersk Oil production activities in the Danish sector of the North Sea. We are approximately 440 highly skilled and motivated onshore employees working in the office which has an international workforce and positive atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
As Engineering Manager, you will oversee all engineering disciplines within the asset. This includes leading three discipline teams consisting of some 20 highly skilled technical employees: Process & Technical Safety, Mechanical, and Electrical/Instrumentation.

You will be responsible for preparing optimised design following engineering standards and in compliance with project business requirements and budgets. Your role will also see you heavily involved in prioritising workloads and ensuring production, while maintaining the integrity and safety of the facilities at all times.

Your key tasks are:
• Liaising with project managers and engineering teams to ensure projects are delivered according to budget and business requirements
• Management of discipline leads and assisting with resourcing
• Prioritisation and bundling of projects and engineering studies
• Ensuring company and international design standards are followed.
Who we are looking for
The position requires you to be a coaching leader with the ability to maintain a clear view of current and future workload and to prioritise in order to utilize the resources at hand effectively.

As a person, you are a team player and need to possess good stakeholder management skills, particularly as you will be interfacing between Production, Subsurface, Projects and Engineering.

Your qualifications:
• Experience leading highly professional technical staff
• An engineering degree (most likely Chemical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, or Electrical Engineer)
• High level of understanding of the key technical disciplines: Process, Technical Safety, Mechanical and Electrical/Instrumentation
• Skills within planning/scheduling and budget estimation
• Experience from the oil and gas industry is mandatory
