The role purpose is to be the focal point for all rigging and lifting activities and to support offshore construction teams.

Accordingly you are empowered and obliged to highlight / report any Safety or Environmental deficiencies which may occur in the execution of the work carried out by contractors, sub-contractors or vendors.
In the execution of your work you shall:-
Comply with applicable safety instructions and other company procedures, both onshore and offshore.
Ensure that in all matters safety, economical and technical assessments are made, due diligence is observed and initiative taken to secure the best economical results.
Bring forward suggestions for improvements in time and cost within the areas of responsibility.
Ensure work is carried out in a professional manner and in compliance with applicable contracts, company policies and relevant laws and regulations.
Ensure completion within time and budget of assigned projects and tasks.
Actively monitor work progress such that problem areas are identified, reported and solutions identified.
Ensure that all information written, spoken and obtained in the course of work / duties is handled with confidentially.
Develop / approve lifting plans and risk assessments for all categories of lifting operations.
Review and authorise all rigging and lifting plans developed by specialist Vendors and 3rd party contractors.
Be knowledgeable of requirements of lifting equipment, certification, the management and control of rigging loft inventories in compliance with LOLER or equivalent industry standards.
Can demonstrate the ability to write/read/understand procedures/specifications/drawings relevant to rigging and lifting operations.
Can demonstrate the ability to safely deliver all rigging all rigging and lifting work scopes to the required/specified project/industry standards.

You shall furthermore include the following:-
Be familiar with company design codes and standards (MOTS)
Primarily based onshore within MOQ office.
Be prepared for frequent offshore visits to conduct surveys/ review and oversee specific lifting operations as deemed necessary.
Liaise with Construction and MOQ Technical Authorities teams to discuss progress, planning and execution of rigging and lifting work scopes.
Support offshore Construction Team as required ensuring the safe and efficient execution of rigging and lifting activities.
Ensure that a close working relationship is maintained with Operations / I&R and Projects.
Review and comment on Engineering work packs and I&R scopes of work to ensure constructability of rigging and lifting for offshore activities.
Participation in coordinators meetings with Construction lead and other coordinators.
Participation in project meetings from kick off through to construction readiness for offshore execution.
Receive / review and send all rigging and lifting Technical Query's to relevant Project Engineer to ensure a response within a reasonable time.
Ensure that all the information within the rigging and lifting plan is relevant/accurate/safe.
Assist in the coaching/training of rigging personnel offshore as required.
Who we are looking for
5 – 10 years of experience within the Oil and Gas industry.
Engineering education.
5 – 10 years’ experience as Offshore Rigging and Lifting Supervisor in construction or equivalent.
