|As Interface Manager you shall proactively monitor, manage and report on internal (between team disciplines) and external interfaces (with and between the EPCI contractors) throughout the execution of the Chissonga project, including participation in field-wide installation and SIMOPS planning and management. |
|•In-depth understanding of both technical and Commercial aspects of all interfaces in the project|
•Work with Delivery Managers and their interface engineers to proactively identify and resolve interface issues and, where appropriate, develop and implement contingency plans to mitigate risks
•Prepare technical and commercial impact assessments, as appropriate, for interface issues
•Ensure all interface issues are assessed and resolved in a best-for-project manner
•Work with Engineering on field-wide engineering technical studies and resolution of interface issues
•Review of, and comment to, technical documents related to interfaces
•Review of, and comment to, contractors interface plans and procedures
•Review of, and comment to, contractors installation plans and procedures
•Monitor, track, report on, contractors’ interface management systems
•Take responsibility for Company’s Interface tracking software and ensure it is reliable and provides a fit for purpose support to all parties
•Participate in the installation phase SIMOPS planning and execution
•Participate in planning of the Hook-up and commissioning phase and take responsibility for Interface test procedures.
•Monitor and facilitate, as necessary, the regular interface meetings between site teams and contractors, and other impacted parties
•Coordinate, facilitate and lead the regular interface management meetings
•Ensure all interface risks are migrated to the appropriate project risk registers, and addressed and closed out
•Ensure changes are processed using within the project’s management of change system as appropriate, and that such changes are clearly communicated to all impacted parties
•Participate in relevant reviews such as HAZOP, HAZID, ALARP and QRA updates, particularly as they relate to interface issues
•Ensure timely and efficient reporting to management.
•Ensure that safety and Incident Free is always top priority, and observe company values at all time and in all matters
•Ensure that all activities are performed in a cost effective and best-for-project manner, and based on sound safety, economical and commercial evaluations
•Maintain focus on technical excellence and innovation
•Support collaboration and integration across projects, departments and locations and accelerate learning and knowledge sharing
•Ensure that all information, written as well as verbal, concerning the company is treated confidentially
Indirect reports: 4-6 (Interface Leads within the Delivery Teams)
|Who we are looking for|
|•Bachelor degree in engineering or higher|
•PMP Certification desirable
•Minimum 8 years’ experience from similar projects – upstream, offshore – preferably in an interface role
•Strong communication skills with experience working in a multi-national environment
•General experience with the technical interfaces of a similar development project.
•Experience in an operating company’s project team.
•Experience liaising with large, international EPCI contractors.
•Ability to travel with little or no notice to global locations to handle interface issues.
•Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
