Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Technology & Security Architecture, the Enterprise Security architect will have responsibility across Maersk IT. This role is a critical role responsible for defining the mid to long term enterprise security architecture strategy to protect the organisation from misuse and attack. You will be a key technical authority on all system and solution design activity, driving standardisation, compliance and consistency in the definition and application of security principles and ensuring that security is embedded in our Enterprise IT environment.

Key Responsibilities
Business Acumen

Responsible for monitoring information security market trends and developing an in-depth understanding of emerging technologies and the associated security risks and opportunities.
Captures and prioritises market and environmental trends, business strategies and objectives, and identifies the business benefits of alternative security strategies; understanding the relevance for the Transport and Logistics strategy.

Current Security Landscape

Contribute to the definition, capturing and maintenance of the critical information required to model the organisation’s current security landscape.
Performs strategic assessment of current capabilities and how well these capabilities are compliant with our security policies.
Identifies strategic issues and opportunities for improvement.
Accountable for leading and making decisions on all aspects of security architecture across major IT programmes.
Responsible for working with vendors to ensure that T&L and third-party security plans on technology are aligned.
Contributing to the development of enterprise-wide security architecture blueprints, patterns and processes which ensure that the strategic application of security is embedded in the management of the IT environment.
Ensuring that all security designs, blueprints and artefacts are maintained and adhere to good practice and recognised industry frameworks

Future Vision

Contributing to the mid to long term enterprise security architecture strategy to protect the organisation from misuse and attack.
Develops enterprise-wide security architectures, patterns and reference information for use by Projects, Application Development teams and Service Operations and Engineering teams within Maersk IT.

Governance

Ensures compliance with preferred strategic security direction, setting strategies supported by relevant policies, standards and practices.
Contributes to the overall Enterprise Architecture Governance model and promote the Security related EA principles.



Who we are looking for
•Set a relevant and inspiring direction for the future security of T&L’s IT environment;
•Coach, mentor and collaborate with peers, solution architects, development teams and project teams to achieve successful outcomes;
•Communicate and build advocacy for security direction with a wide range of stakeholders.

And be able to demonstrate:
•Expert level experience in enterprise security architecture, with qualifications across IS; information (CISSP) and systems (SSCP).
•Expert level experience in Cloud security architecture and design (CCSP)
•Expert level experience in enterprise level architecture and design (TOGAF, SABSA, Zachman) and a clear understanding of security architecture frameworks and their alignment across enterprise architecture domains.
•A transformational mindset using an approach of persuasion and encouragement that embeds sustainable capabilities
•Experience of working within Agile and Waterfall environments
•Fostering great relationships without direct authority across functional boundaries and geographies
•Proven ability to make pragmatic short-term decisions whilst aligning with a long term strategic outcome
•Ability to execute on a global scale

ENTERPRISE SECURITY ARCHITECT - SUMMARY

•A pragmatic security strategist with digital systems credibility;
•The ability to influence at senior management level and collaborate across organisational boundaries in a federated model;
•Transformational mindset with skills to develop and present compelling business cases, for high-level initiatives and roadmaps.
