This is a great opportunity to apply your theoretical knowledge, for instance by working with value chain analysis and learning how to develop good relations with suppliers. You will get a deep insight into the daily tasks in a purchasing department in a major Danish company.

From the location in Esbjerg, Maersk Oil operates the production platforms in the Danish part of the North Sea. In the purchasing department we handle the purchasing of materials and services used for operating and maintaining the platforms.

We have framework agreements with selected suppliers in Denmark and the rest of world from which we purchase many of the materials and services.

Further, we work closely with the technical organisation to make sure that the contracts are in line with technical requirements and Maersk Oil’s strategy.

You will become part of the team that carries out licensing rounds, negotiates with suppliers and follows up on the contracts. And our work culture is characterised by a great team spirit and an informal atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities
In this position, you will:
  • generate purchase statistics by extracting data from the SAP purchasing system to Excel.
  • perform analyses of statistics and market data as well as work with TCO models.
  • follow up on suppliers and update the SAP purchasing system based on suppliers’ delivery times and prices.
  • solve various ad hoc tasks.
Who we are looking for
  • You are currently studying Bsc
  • You have an interest in working with purchasing.
  • You have a flair for IT and knowledge of Excel.
  • You have great written and oral English skills.

As a person, you have a high attention to detail and data quality. You have an understanding of data systems and complex processes, and you are service-minded and result-orientated.
