Maersk Drilling is looking for 2 contract managers to join the global contract management team in Singapore in April 2015. The team will play a central role in the new established Centre of Excellence – Supply Chain, Singapore.

Key Responsibilities
As a contract manager you will be responsible for 2-4 categories globally (e.g. within spare parts, consumables etc.) – the strategy can be a local or global – you will have to define that and execute accordingly to ensure efficiency and an optimized TCO.

You will be the point of contact for 1 of 4 shorebases in Maersk Drilling (Americas, Africa, North Sea or Asia) and will have to ensure – together with the local shorebase team – that a spend and contract overview is available and a project pipeline developed accordingly. Together with the shorebase you will have to identify areas for contract negotiation and implementation.

As part of a new established contract management team in Singapore you will be a key player in defining a uniform approach towards category and contract handling.

Stakeholder management is a crucial part of the job as you have to align category strategies across the teams in Group Procurement as well as Maersk Drilling.

Some of your main responsibilities are:
  • Manage the categories assigned to you; understand spent and cost drivers, TCO development, development of strategies, global alignment and negotiations
  • Implementation of contracts
  • Ensure high contract compliance
  • Continuously explore opportunities in the market within assigned categories
  • Supplier Relationship Management
  • Point of contact towards a shorebase. Ensure the shorebase is supported in getting a complete spend and contract overview and a project pipeline is build up accordingly
  • Support the function manager in defining and implementing a uniform way of handling categories
  • Ad-hoc project support
Who we are looking for
• Min. 3 years of experience from working within the field of procurement – preferably 1-2 years from category management
• Strong advantage if experience has been gained from one of the leading consultancy firms and/or from the off-shore industry holding a similar position
• International mind-set and experience from working in an international environment
• Good communication, relationship and networking skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Eye for the detail to ensure high-quality output
• Proactive mind-set – little supervision needed
• Proficient in Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Fluent in English – written and spoken
