Maersk Oil Qatar is currently developing and expanding the facilities in the Al Shaheen Field offshore Qatar. Due to this expansion a Deck Supervisor is required. The main duty of this position is to oversee all activities taking place on the deck as well as the helideck at MOQ offshore facilities

Key Responsibilities
Planning and Direction

• Contribute to defining and executing activity planning and setting performance targets for the offshore organization
• Identify opportunities and champion initiatives that enables maximum production output within the parameters of environmental compliance and process safety

Cost Optimization

• Ensure optimum utilization of company's resources in own section Exhibit financial prudence in all decisions; approve operational expenses within level of authority

Health, Safety & Environment

• Drive an incident free environment through establishing and maintaining a strong safety culture
• Organize and supervise the activities and work of subordinates to ensure compliance to relevant health, safety and environmental excellence procedures and controls within area of responsibility to guarantee employee safety
• Collate and provide daily reports to OIM on health, safety and environmental issues related to area of work
• Responsible for daily routine maintenance on cranes in cooperation with the Maintenance Supervisor
• Responsible for weekly routine maintenance on lifeboats and safety equipment

People Management

• Provide leadership and guidance to direct reports in the execution of their responsibilities
• Ensure Emergency Response Team under supervision is fully equipped, qualified and trained in relevant emergency duties
• Uphold and role-model MOQ's core values and leadership behaviors

Stakeholder Relations

• Actively participate in daily communication and coordination between off-and onshore businesses pertaining to key business matters and sharing of knowledge and experience
• Represent MOQ vis-à-vis external stakeholders in areas of operational importance
Who we are looking for
Fluent in written and spoken English

Thorough knowledge of marine loading, offloading and lifting

Driver Certificate (A certificate) issued by a recognized education institution

Minimum 5 years’ experience in the petrochemical, refining, oil / gas exploration and/or production industries in a similar role

Experience working with materials and crane operators
