|The Electrical Support Team Lead provides leadership to two teams; a NAVCOM team of six superintendents being responsible for navigation and communication systems support, and an Electrical team of five superintendents being responsible for power and automation system support.|
The position is a permanent shore position based in Mumbai on local terms and conditions.
The Electrical Support Team Lead is reporting to the Head of Ship Management Services in Copenhagen.
We are looking for an ambitious colleague, who can take over the responsibility of the Electrical Support Team with a desire to further advance our electrical and navigation/communication system support to the vessels and fleet groups.

|The focus area of responsibility for the Electrical Support Team is to provide first line support to Maersk Line’s Fleet Groups and fleet of +250 vessels for issues covering every aspect of the vessels electrical systems like navigation systems, communication systems, automation, and power generation and electrical distribution.|
Specific responsibilities include the following;
• First line support to Fleet Groups and vessels
• Ensure NAVCOM equipment surveys and repairs are planned timely
• Be up to date on existing and new rules
• Be responsible for modification and upgrade projects in the fleet supported
• Be alert to new technology and innovations within the field of responsibility
• Having financial responsibility for the activities within scope
• Provide input and give evaluations on running new building projects for Electrical and NAVCOM
The focus area of responsibility for the Electrical Support Team Lead is to manage and lead the team in accordance with the company values, our defined leadership behaviours and general guidelines.

|The right candidate must possess strong leadership capabilities, and profound technical marine knowledge. |
You will likely have a Master or Bachelor level technical education, which you have applied in leadership roles in the Maritime industry or Oil and Gas industry or in the Navy.
As a technical expert you are used to dealing with complex technical failures that requires an analytical approach and a high degree of attention to details.
You must be motivated by being held accountable for the performance, and for providing leadership including developing people, coaching and mentoring to build organisational capability.
Proficiency in English, including technical terms, is a firm requirement.
