We are looking for a Deputy, Customer Service to join our customer service team in Canada. This position will be based in Mississauga, Ontario.

Key Responsibilities
* Review customer service processes and identify opportunities for improvement that positively impact the following: customer satisfaction/productivity/employee engagement/Maersk Line’s bottom line.
* Research and recommend best practices to be followed including training to improve service delivery.
* Actively engage customers to gauge current performance levels, identify improvement opportunities and assist the team with the execution of improvement plans.
* Identify opportunities associated with increased use of electronic commerce tools as available thru EDI and maerskline.com
* Actively pursue opportunities associated with cross functional activities.
* Work to eliminate obstacles, which currently exist for desk level colleagues.
* Ensure all new/change initiatives are implemented by the customer service team.
* Build good working relationships with vendors, customers and internal partners.
* Keep apprised of pertinent trends in the transportation industry.
* Comply with all Federal, Provincial and Local legal requirements.
* Work on special projects as directed by the Director of Customer Service.
Who we are looking for
As a member of our Canada customer service team, the successful candidate will work with the Director of Customer Service to ensure agreed KPIs for the team are met and/or exceeded. In the absence of the Director, the Deputy is responsible for the team and their results.

The ideal candidate must possess integrity, enthusiasm, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn. You must be results oriented, analytical, and innovative. You must have excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills (both written and oral). In addition, you must have organizational and time management skills including multi-tasking, prioritizing, and the ability to plan work activities efficiently to meet deadlines.

A Bachelor's degree is required with a minimum of 5 years industry or equivalent customer service experience. Prior supervisory experience is preferred. You must be proficient with Microsoft Office.
