Maersk Oil Qatar is currently developing and expanding the facilities in the Al Shaheen Field offshore Qatar.

Equipment Engineer is expected to manage, optimize and coordinate the intervention and maintenance of equipment and services.

Key Responsibilities
•Work closely with the WS warehouse supervisors to ensure all intervention and wellhead maintenance is maintained and kept in a fit-for-purpose state at all times to prevent operational delays.
•Improve certification procedures and system for Pressure Control Equipment and other safety critical equipment to meet or exceed compliance to industry best practices.
•Continuously monitor service quality of key vendors and follow up as needed to ensure required levels of service and equipment standards are maintained.
•Assist Contracts Engineer and Quality Engineer to perform Service Quality Meetings and quality audits to ensure vendor compliance to contractual obligations
•Assist Rig-less team lead in planning of operations with regards to equipment availability and requirements.
•Identify future equipment requirements and ensure equipment is available on time.
•Ensure that all aspects of the operation are carried out with constant emphasis on Health, Safety and Environment while adhering to applicable Company procedures and Governmental regulations / Legislations.
•Track well intervention and maintenance equipment movements in the field. Maintaining a full overview of location of MOQ owned and vendor’s equipment in the field at all times.
•Ensure that in all matters, prior to decision, correct technical and commercial assessments are made, due diligence observed and initiative taken to secure the most cost-effective solution.
•Assist the Contracts Engineer by providing technical input and perform technical review for equipment and service tenders.
Who we are looking for
Candidates with:
•Minimum seven years of relevant experience in well completion, well intervention and wellhead maintenance operations and equipment.
•Experience with SAP as advanced user will be an advantage.

Candidate should also have
•Extensive and in-depth knowledge of high deviation well intervention equipment and techniques (slick line, e-line, coiled tubing, pumping, etc.).
•Extensive and in-depth knowledge of (intelligent, multi-zone) completion equipment and completion practices.
•Extensive knowledge of Coiled Tubing Completion methods and systems.
•Ability to oversee complex technical issues and to make well weighed decisions.
•Ability of a Strong team player, comfortable communicating with people from a wide range of cultures and from different levels.
•Positive mind set to frequent changes and new challenges.
•Excellent verbal and written English skills.
