Maersk Oil Kazakhstan is looking for Civil Project Engineer to join our Engineering & Projects Department

Key Responsibilities
Coordinate the overall project coordination process of facilities, structures and/or pipelines and monitoring contractor performance assuring the application of all the relevant HSEQ and QA procedures
2.2 Provide technical support as required
2.3 Promote a total quality work ethic and safe and pleasant work environment and establish an environment of mutual respect and teamwork with all employees.
2.4 Direct Day to Day activities of the Engineering Contractors, calling upon specialist resources within the greater organization as necessary
2.5 To act as a focal point for all communication between MOK and the Contractor in respect of specific Plant areas/Units
2.6 Ensure all required input and output is provided in a timely manner, and that requests for data are directed to the appropriate personnel in the Company
2.7 To assure quality and consistency of MOK input to the assigned Contractor
2.8 To drive for completion of Contract activities according to the Scope Of Work, the Cost-Time-Resources catalogue and the Overall Project Plan;
2.9 To assure the application to the Contract of all the relevant norms, local rules, company standards and international best practice;
2.10 To ensure that all necessary elements of the MOK Management Procedures are implemented
2.11 To ensure that applicable elements of the Project Execution Plan are implemented, with focus on Value Assurance Activities, including Reviews of the Contractors work in accordance with the Value Assurance Plan.
2.12 To provide timely engineering progress reports to the MOK Specialists as required.
2.13 To document all formal communication between MOK and the Contractor, including Minutes of Meeting, Change Notices, etc,
2.14 Responsible for any communication that impacts the Scope of Work and may be taken as an instruction for Change by the Contractor.
2.15 Liaising with the other disciplines of the MOK Team
2.16 Liaising with other resources from the MOK organization and engineering Contractors (as above detailed) evaluate and rank the development alternatives based on relevant KPI’s
2.17 Act as a liaison with contractors and clients managing any work interfaces and enhancements to project scope
2.18 Determines & prepares the Scope of Work for issuing Contract Work Orders, Purchase Orders
2.19 Review designs and drawings for comments before approval for construction
2.20 Conduct Technical Evaluation of bidders
2.21 Conduct kick-off and work progress meetings with Contractors
2.22 Pre-start inspection of equipment on its technical condition
2.23 Undertake team briefings and inception activities to ensure all aspects of work are understood by all concerned parties.
2.24 Monitor and control expenses related to project work and ensure organizational forecasts and budgets are met for these expenses.
2.25 Monitor and manage schedules with multi-discipline interface.
2.26 Monitor required contract & subcontract work activities to ensure that drawings, tools, equipments and materials are available to complete the job.
2.27 Establish that contractor has engaged adequate manpower to execute the contract / subcontract towards completion dates, customer requirements.
2.28 Manage contractors & subcontractors, and coordinate with consultants supporting particular area of responsibility.
2.29 Handle procurement activities relating to contracts and sub contracts in accordance with Company Procedures and Procurement department activities.
2.30 Review and evaluate technical submittals and shop drawings submitted by contractor and vendors
2.31 Raising, tracing and finalizing Technical Queries
2.32 Daily & weekly reporting to the line manager on the work progress
2.33 Qualifying contractors invoices against actual works performed.
2.34 Scheduling and coordinating with contractors, subcontractors, engineers and operation
Who we are looking for
Minimum 5 years of releavant experience;
English upper intermediate
OIl&Gas experience is plus
