Maersk Oil Qatar is currently developing and expanding the facilities in the Al Shaheen Field offshore Qatar. Due to this expansion a Senior Completions & Workover Engineer is required. The rolepurpose is to support Drilling department with regards to the planning and execution of Completions and Workovers.

Key Responsibilities
Ensure that all aspects of the operation are carried out with constant emphasis on Health, Safety and Environment while adhering to applicable Company procedures and Governmental regulations / Legislations.
Develop and issue instructions and Well Services programs as deemed required to contractors engaged in well services activities.
Develop and issue Completion programs for execution on offshore Rig Based Operations.
Prepare and log Completions operational Lessons Learned documentation.
Advise Well Technology Group on Completion Basis of Design strategy where required.
Ensure that all new Completion documentation is captured and filed for use in future Well Services Operations.
Spearhead and oversee functional testing of new Completion and related equipment prior to field application. Document and present testing results as required.
Plan for timely shipment and arrival of required equipment and personnel for offshore activities.
Ensure that all aspects of the operation are carried out according to approved programs.
Ensure that all documentation and information prepared and/or obtained in the course of work is handled in strict confidence.
Ensure that in all matters, prior to decision, correct technical and commercial assessments are made, due diligence observed and initiative taken to secure the most cost-effective solution.
Maintain a good working relationship with colleagues, thus ensuring an efficient and professional outcome in all matters and a good working climate.
Who we are looking for
BSc in Engineering or similar education.
Minimum Five years of offshore supervisory position in completion and workover operations plus minimal 5 years experience as Completions and Workover engineer.
Experience with SAP as advanced user will be an advantage.
The vast majority of Maersk Oil Qatar’s wells are horizontal extended reach (world record) wells. Consequently challenging Completion and Intervention techniques are applied. E.g.: floating multi-zone intelligent completions, E-line tractors and CT tractors, high deviation slick line, etc.
Extensive and in-depth knowledge of (intelligent, multi-zone) completion equipment and completion practices.
Extensive knowledge of artificial lift systems.
Extensive and in-depth knowledge of high deviation well intervention equipment and techniques (slick line, e-line, coiled tubing, pumping, etc.).
Extensive knowledge of Coiled Tubing Completion methods and systems.
Ability to develop completion, workover and intervention programmes autonomously.
Ability to oversee complex technical issues and to make well weighed decisions.
Strong team player, comfortable communicating with people from a wide range of cultures and from different levels.
Positive mindset to frequent changes and new challenges.
Excellent verbal and written English skills.
