|Process Safety:Major contribution to Project Focus & Process Safety in terms of corrosion risk and mechanical integrity. Participate in HAZOP studies as required |
Corrosion Control (Materials):Works with MOTS-14, MOQ documents and external standards to ensure optimum materials selection
Corrosion Risk Assessments:Ensure Corrosion Risk assessments are completed on all Safety Critical Elements and Inspection Plans reflect levels of risk
Mentoring:Trains & Develops Qatari employees to gain experience and achieve recognised Engineering qualifications
Procedures & Guidelines:Major contributor to CMS & Ensures Procedures are up-to-date and revisions updated to SAP
Trend Analysis:Undertake metal loss Trend Analysis of Hydrocarbon Process Systems (RBI) and ensure Inspection Schedules are updated accordingly
Anomaly Management (RCFA):Ensure Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) completed on time for all corrosion-related defects & Near Miss actions where necessary (shared with Integrity Engineer)
Anomaly Management (Trend Analysis):Undertakes Trend Analysis of Defective Equipment & reports findings, including improvements
Vessel / Pipe RBI:Provides input into the pressure vessel & piping systems RBI Process
Review & Continuous Improvement:Undertakes periodic review (every 2-years) of CMS and implements changes / improvements from new standards, techniques and lessons learned. Develop and maintain corrosion management KPIs and metrics
Imminent Danger:Reports unusual, unsafe or high risk situations of possible imminent danger to Team Leader
|Who we are looking for|
|NACE (Certified Member) or equivalent|
BSc or MSc in Metallurgy / Corrosion Engineering / Materials Science / Mechanical Engineering
10+ year experience in offshore oil & gas production operations
10+ years static equipment inspection role in oil & gas industry
Capable of managing and undertaking large scale risk assessments of oil & gas process facilities
Knowledge of pipeline condition assessments
Clear understanding of NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156
