Key Responsibilities
Lead the Reservoir Engineering discipline community, ensuring functional overlay with coordination with local discipline leads and link to CTP discipline lead. Accountable for RE discipline competency and development, assurance of reservoir engineering technical work and development of reservoir engineering best practice workflows.
•Contribute to maintaining a strong incident free culture within MOQ by role modelling safety behaviours and taking corrective action wherever necessary.
•Ensure process safety is managed efficiently within the Reservoir Engineering Discipline Area and across Discipline Area interfaces.
•Manage and drive improvements of RE discipline area parts of the Local Management System.
•Contribute to development of and ensure compliance with RE discipline area processes and standards.
•Set the agenda for the development of the RE discipline area Ensure discipline area technical staff have access to the relevant training and support in developing capabilities to fulfil their roles.
•Plan and allocate local RE discipline area resources across local assets and projects
•Coordinate deployment of global RE discipline area resources to the BU.
•Coordinate local capability development activities across the RE discipline area.
•Provide or facilitate the provision of RE discipline area expertise across the BU and Corporate.
•Support RE discipline leads in fulfilling their functional/discipline roles.
•Ensure appropriate assurance activities across the BU for the RE Discipline Area (technical work, projects, RE TA2s, RE related process safety).
•Assess competency and technical performance of technical contractors.
•Own subsurface RE technical applications.

Who we are looking for
Candidate with :
•Degree (or direct equivalent, or relevant industry experience) in subsurface discipline preferred; or other relevant technical discipline qualification.
•With at least 10 years’ industry experience as a Lead level Reservoir Engineer.
•Experience of strategic management and planning in an operator environment preferred.
•Experience of motivating and empowering direct and indirect reports and developing teams.
•Significant knowledge of offshore oil and gas industry operations at leadership level.
•Proven skills in change management and introducing improvements to processes and ways of working.
•Ability to engage, influence and manage stakeholders at all levels.
•Proven communication and collaboration skills.
