Head of Project Services (HPS) you will be a member of the Project Management Team (PMT) and are responsible for leading the project services organisation in supporting the whole Integrated Project Team. The HPS is required to interact daily with key positions within the PMT and the Facilities Management Team (FMT), and external to the IPT, typically those providing ‘functional support’ aspects from the Business Unit.

Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Project Director, you will hold a commensurate amount of responsibility, within the defined decision space for this important position.
This position will play a key leadership role within the respective project and will play a critical role towards the defined scope and deliverables throughout the project lifecycle, and following the final investment decision (Project Sanction), for each phase during the execution of the scope, through to hand-over to the asset teams, including support and close-out.
The responsibilities of the HPS include the following areas:
• Finance, budgets, and RoFo;
• WBS;
• Estimating;
• Management of change relating to the IP and baseline costs;
• cost control;
• planning and scheduling;
• information management, and
• Project administration, reporting and communications.
The HPS is also responsible for building and managing Organizational capability and processes, within the remit of Project Services.
• In the early stages of this assignment a ‘Hands-On’ approach is expected to address the requirements of the IPT whilst the requirements, roles and responsibilities for each project team member are being developed and recruited.

Someone with solid broad based experience in all project phases including Project; planning, scheduling, finance, controls, estimating, data & information, and administration.
We are looking for a leader who is anchored by a Bachelor’s Degree within a technical discipline and a graduate business related degree, and who has 15 years’ experience with at least 10 years in a relevant position in the Oil & Gas industry. A project management certificate coupled with experience and knowledge in the following specific areas relating to project services are required:
• Finance and Business Analysis;
• Budgets and approvals
• Forecasting
• Estimating
• FEED & EPIC Contracts;
• Project controls;
• Performance measurement and assessment;
• Planning and Scheduling;
• Cost Management;
• Change management;
• Stakeholder Management;
• Information Management;
• SAP, other similar financial tools;
• Reporting and communications
• Strong leadership, communication and people development.
