Maersk Oil Qatar is currently developing and expanding the facilities in the Al Shaheen Field offshore Qatar. Due to this expansion a Technical Authority Piping Engineering is required. The Piping Engineering Technical Authority holds the technical Piping authority within MOQ.

Key Responsibilities
Assume technical authority and direction for the Piping discipline.
Ensure that company standards and procedures are followed, monitoring and approving the technical content of controlled items and waivers from company MOTS standards.
Ensure sharing of Lessons Learned.
Maintaining Piping Engineering Technical integrity by ensuring stage gate processes are followed, MOQ procedures are followed and systems/processes are continuously updated with best industry practices.
Comply with applicable safety instructions and other Company procedures, both onshore and offshore.
Approve waiver requests to the MOTS’s, Approve FMP's, fitness for service assessments, degraded safety critical elements and or performance standards.
Reporting to Head of Piping Engineering.
Oversee the functional development of the Piping Engineering TA-3 competences.
Focus on technical competency and process safety.
Innovate to further enhance facility performance and safety.
Use and develop the right engineering tools.
Prepare the Piping discipline for further Maersk Oil expansion.
Approve within area of responsibility:
1) Brownfield engineering concepts and design.
2) Review As built documentation.
3) Responsible for approving operation outside design envelopes.
Who we are looking for
A candidate with an University degree in Mechanical or Piping engineering.

Detailed knowledge of offshore oil & gas piping systems.

Minimum 15 years of relevant oil & gas industry experience.

Thorough experience with design of - and modification to large offshore projects.
