Maersk Drilling HBA, Lda. are looking for an Engine Control Room Responsible who will be the main watch keeper for the engine room area and ensure compliance with all relevant rules and regulations.

You report directly to the Technical Section Leader/Maintenance Engineer of Maersk Deliverer, one of our semi-submersible drilling rigs.


Key Responsibilities
As an Engine Room Responsible you will be responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of the machinery.

You will ensure that all items required for the power generation are fully maintained and that all work carried out in the maintenance department is done responsible and safe. Duties include but will not be limited to:

• Notifying the Technical Section Leader/Maintenance Engineer on the detection of abnormal instrument readings or failure symptoms

• Initiate immediate action required to prevent the occurrence of a potential nonconformance.

• Ensure that repair service is provided to other functions on board

• Direct tasks to the personnel in your department and ensure spare parts are replenished when necessary

• Act as technical support in particular for the Motorman
Who we are looking for
• Certificate of Competency as Marine Engineer, STCW III/1 or equivalent.

• You have a Mechanical background with knowledge of diesel engines and are conversant with safety and quality management principles

• You are computer literate and have knowledge of computerized maintenance systems

• You have good verbal and written English communication skills
