In response to the current expansion activities Maersk Oil Qatar (MOQ) is carrying out in the Al Shaheen field we currently have a vacancy in our offshore leadership team as an Offshore Centre Manager.

We Offer
The Offshore Centre Manager (OCM) is a member of the Operations Manager leadership team and is responsible to the Production Manager for the safe delivery of MOQ business priorities

The position is to ensure integration and alignment/collaboration across platforms, offshore and onshore functions.

The role is to support, strengthen and further develop leadership capabilities in the offshore organization.

This is an offshore based rotation position in Al Shaheen Field offshore Qatar.

The Offshore Centre Manager will work a 21/21 day rotation schedule with a recurring 3 month office rotation onshore approximately every 9 months, subject to operational requirements

Residence in Doha preferred, family status and relocation are offered.
Key Responsibilities
• Promote an incident free environment through establishing and maintaining a strong safety culture.
• Ensure that the individual platform IFLT leaders (OIMs) are supported through coaching and mentoring in how to ensure an optimum working IFLT with the overall goal of ensuring that IF mindset and culture is embedded in the offshore operations.
• Supervising a systematic risk identification and management across all offshore installations.
• Facilitate the introduction of cross field initiatives.
• Acting as the conduit between IFLT offshore and onshore operations IFLT and being a part of onshore operations IFLT.#
• Assuring by auditing that requirements in “Consent to Operate” are being met by each installation.
• Ensure measurable improvements to ways of working and processes to safely manage and reduce inherent risk across all MOQ operations.
• Assist in maintaining risk register and follow up upon.
• Ensure thorough and timely follow up of HIPO Incidents and Audit actions to optimize and implement lessons learned
• Support a learning culture
• Perform internal audits of “risk management” systems as appropriate
• Proactively engage in developing, implementing and maintaining Procedures and Guidelines.
• Responsible for delivering KPIs for the offshore organization.
• Responsible for overall field optimization.
• Promote thorough Shut down planning, execution and follow up across the centers
• Actively support the organization in developing and implementing IAP processes.
• Accountable for the 28 days plan, contributes to the development of 90 days and 1 year plan.
• Offshore approver for any Break in activities to the 28 day plan.
• Assist direct reports in establishing short term operational priorities, targets and activity plans.
• Responsible for offshore input to the development and management of the annual operational budget for relevant centre.
• Exhibit financial prudence in all decisions; approve operational expenses within level of authority
• This position is overall responsible for safe and efficient operation of the offshore installations on the respective offshore centre (A or B)
• Ensure Business Priorities related to short and long term operational targets are clearly communicated and being met.
• Ensure compliance with Collaborative working practices cross field through exploitation of CWE.
• Operations Excellence performance to be regularly promoted, monitored and communicated.
• Hold direct report responsible for delivering his part of Maintenance Excellence
• Hold direct report responsible for ensuring production optimization processes to deliver production targets.
• Promote thorough Shut down planning, execution and follow up across the centers
• In co-operation with onshore responsible allocate offshore resources to project teams and offshore project execution
• Responsible for ensuring offshore organization readiness for future FDP/MDP.
• Overall responsible for offshore organization ensuring efficient and effective working practices are maintained.
• Provide leadership and guidance to direct reports in the execution of their responsibilities
• Uphold and role-model MOQ's core values and leadership behaviors
• Overall responsible for continuous development of Offshore Organization and Leadership capabilities – in close collaboration with HR and direct reports ensure thorough development and follow up on Personal Development Plans, Talent management, Succession Planning and Competency assurance of direct reports and other Safety Critical offshore positions
• Responsible for MOQ Competency Assurance Program (OCAP)
• Facilitate and guide a core team which to deliver the objectives of Qatarization strategy and MITAS program
• Ensure proper target setting and staff performance appraisal in line with the MOQ's performance management guidelines; identify and develop high potential staff
• Actively support Implementing and sustaining a performance culture offshore and onshore.
• Responsible for thoroughly follow up on overall offshore ESS.
• Allocate resources for rotation of offshore personnel to onshore in Production, I&R etc.
• Actively promote and participate in daily collaboration, communication and coordination between off-and onshore.
• Promote knowledge and experience sharing.
• Ensure all Leadership messages are cascaded to the relevant parts of the organization.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with external parties required to meet MOQ’s business and operational objectives.
• Represent MOQ to external stakeholders in areas to the business unit importance
Who we are looking for
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or international equivalent preferred, or discipline specific qualification with proven industry related track record

Minimum 10 years experience preferably in the petrochemical, refining, oil / gas exploration and/or production industries in a similar role with at least 6 years’ operations management experience.

Proven leadership skills in a multi cultural and highly technical specialized environment
• Thorough understanding and application of industry process safety guidelines and procedures
• Ability to design, set, and implement operational objectives
• Highly motivated, flexible in approach and with a proactive mindset.
• Fluent in written and spoken English
