The purpose of this role is to conduct planned maintenance activities, troubleshoot and repair electronic and electrical systems under minimal supervision ensuring safe and efficient operations in accordance with Maersk Oil Qatar (MOQ) approved procedures and guidelines, design limitations and legislative requirements

Key Responsibilities
Planning & Direction:
Liaise with Senior Maintenance Engineer and Team Lead Electrical
in planning, preparing and scheduling electrical maintenance
activities ensuring the required level of equipment integrity and
reliability and safe electrical systems.
Implement operational priorities, targets and plans in line with
policies, guidelines and operating procedures.

Cost Optimization:
Track and monitor cash flow, cost controls and expenses towards
optimum utilization of company's resources within own area;
report variances between actual expenditure and budget.
Exhibit financial prudence in all decisions; approve operational
expenses within level of authority.

Safety, Health & Environmental:
Drive an incident free environment through establishing and maintaining a strong safety culture.
Contribute to the development and execution of safe work processes,
operating procedures and guidelines to ensure process safety,
operational safety and plant integrity.

Operational:
Conduct testing and maintenance of electrical systems,
transformers, motors, generators etc in a safer and efficient
manner and ensure interrupted power supply.
Prioritise activities and other relevant HSE issues within area of
responsibility highlighted in Synergi cases and ASTF findings.
Conduct quick repair/replacement of electrical equipment/systems to be installed thereby optimizing production uptime; strive for quick restoration.

People Management:
Develop the technical crew with special focus on process safety,
optimization and maintaining good onshore practices and
knowledge to company procedures and guidelines.
Guide and support to junior staff in the execution of their day-today
responsibilities and help create a learning environment.

Stakeholder Relations:
Establish and maintain effective relationships with external
parties required to meet MOQ's business and operational
objectives.
Who we are looking for
A candidate with an Bachelor's Degree (or relevant industry experience) in
Engineering preferred or discipline specific qualification.

Minimum 4 years of experience preferably in the petrochemical,
refining, oil / gas exploration and/or production industries in a
similar role.

Experience with both HV and LV equipments, switchgear, ex
classified equipment and systems is an advantage.

Fluent in written and spoken English.

Thorough technical and practical knowledge of both HV and LV
equipment and switchgear.

Good understanding how to read electrical circuit diagrams.
