Maersk Oil Kazakhstan is looking for Security Coordinator to join our HSE department based in Aktau, Kazakhstan.

Key Responsibilities
Day to day duties may vary according to operational needs. The following are typical:

a) Act as a focal point on Security in MOK.
b) Coordinate all security related matters with other MOK departments and contractors.
c) Manage and maintain use of outsourced security personnel ensuring compliance with local regulations and company standards and procedures.
d) Conduct risk assessments and mitigate threats and vulnerabilities.
e) Manage Field Security Specialists (2).
f) Provide security advice and support to management for business security related problems.
g) Keep contact between MOK and external security / law enforcement authorities. Assure proactive communications and exchange of information for risk assessments.
h) Develop and implement security awareness sessions and security training.
i) Coordinate and liaise with Maersk Oil Regional Security Advisor.
j) Act as focal point on Crisis & Emergency Response and Civil Defence for operational departments, i.e: Production, Drilling, Construction and Administration.
k) Maintain Crisis Management System and Emergency Response Plans
l) Provide assurance that principal documents in MOK are compliant with requirements, review and revise as necessary, e.g.:
• Security Plan,
• Crisis & Emergency Management Plan,
• Emergency Response Plans,
• Civil Defence Plan.
m) Provide assurance that the Security, Emergency Response and Civil Defence of all activities within MOK are compliant with requirements, including, but not limited to:
• Security Plan
• Civil Defence Law,
• RK Industrial Safety Law;
• RK Fire Safety Code;
• Other RK legislative Acts;
Maersk Oil Corporate Policies, Standards and Procedures.
n) Develop new policies and procedures as required.
o) Act as department focal point for contact with authorities (in collaboration with Legal dept.):
• National Security Committee;
• Police;
• Emergency dept.;
• Akimat.
p) Coordinate, participate in and/or witness, inspections and audits by authorities, and ensure all violations, non-conformances and observations are tracked and closed-out in a timely manner.
q) Coordinate regular trainings, awareness campaigns, presentation, newsletters, bulletins and drills for Crisis Management Team, operational and office personnel.
r) Maintain equipment, materials and devices to support Security, Crisis Management and Emergency Response arrangements.
s) Participate in audits and incident investigations as required.
t) Maintain a good knowledge of MOK, national and local Security, Emergency Response and Civil Defence requirements.
u) Ensure timely identification of new and emerging Emergency Security, Response and Civil Defence legislation and interpretation of its impact on Maersk Oil Kazakhstan, and ensure that changes are managed appropriately.
v) Participate in regular meetings with other parts of MOK to ensure services and support provided is in line with client department needs.
w) Analyse reports and data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
x) Recommend actions and initiatives in support of the continuous improvement of Security, Emergency Response and Civil Defence activities.
y) Carry out other tasks as may be assigned from time to time with agreement of Security Manager.

In the pursuance of the above duties it is expected that Security Coordinator spends at least one day every second week in the field.
Who we are looking for
• Minimum 3 years work experience in Security, Emergency Response and/or Crisis Management areas in oil and gas industry.
• Good knowledge of legislative requirements and international standards. Experience in Security and/or Crisis management system development and maintenance.
• Good communication skills, being able to work cross-functionally and to build networks both inside and outside the organization. Training development and provision experience.
• Strong planning and organization skills,
• Strong facilitation skills, previous trainer’s experience,
• Fluent spoken and written English and Russian is a requirement. Kazakh is a plus.
