Maersk Tankers is looking for a new colleague to join our highly skilled IT Service Delivery team to support the Copenhagen based staff at Maersk Tankers’ office in the center of Copenhagen.
We Offer
Our IT Service Delivery teams provide users with a professional and friendly link between their IT needs and technology. IT Management is based at Maersk Tankers in Copenhagen, however most of the Service Desk and infrastructure operations have been outsourced or offshored. We still require however a local IT presence to handle all the hands-on tasks which cannot be performed remotely.

Our new IT Student Assistant will participate in the internal IT support, as well as assisting with other IT related tasks, gaining practical IT experience. Key Responsibilities
As IT Student Assistant with Maersk Tankers you can expect that no two days are alike. You will be responsible for general user assistance and support on all Maersk Tankers owned IT-equipment and applications. Your main responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

•On-Site support of users based in Copenhagen office.
•Administrative asset and user management activities.
•Hardware management: coordination of reinstallation of PC’s, iPhones, administration of local stock of spare equipment.
•Project assistance and other ad-hoc tasks.
•Process management and documentation of procedures and inventory.
•Test of installations and software packages.
Who we are looking for
We expect our new colleague to be independent, service-minded and driven. You do not need to be an IT expert; we do however expect you to have a keen IT interest and that you are skilled with computers and general office automation applications. Ideally you are a university student ending your Bachelor’s degree or at the beginning of your Master’s degree.

On a personal level you are curious, investigative and a true self-starter. You are capable of focusing on details without losing sight of the big picture and you thrive in a busy international environment, which requires you to multitask. Most importantly, you like working with people and are service-minded; you are good at thinking one step ahead, displaying a pro-active and mature nature.

As Maersk Tankers is characterized by a diverse work force with employees from all over the world and as our corporate language is English, your English skills should be impeccable.

The position is part-time and estimated to 20 - 25 work hours per week, preferably three days a week. It will be possible to work full time during holidays and we do understand your need for flexibility during exam periods. The position is a temporary position of 1 year.
