In close co-operation with the rest of the Architecture team in BI&MDM the Senior Solution Architect will develop and maintain technical standards and designs for Teradata BI solutions which will enable Maersk Line BI and MDM solutions to be build and implemented according to industry best practice and Maersk Line standards.

Key Responsibilities
The Senior Solution Architect is responsible for providing technical and design thought leadership and actively participate in the design, implementation, and roll-out efforts. Additional responsibilities include:
• Develop and maintain BI reference architectures and Principles, Standards and Guidelines for the entire BI domain from sourcing via integration to exposure of data
• Applying architectural and engineering concepts to design a solution that meets operational requirements, such as scalability, maintainability, security, reliability, extensibility, flexibility, availability, quality and manageability
• Actively work with projects to improve and communicate architecture and solution design.
Who we are looking for
• Six to ten years of experience in IT, with a minimum of two years in information systems design
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or a related study or equivalent related project experience
• BI, broad data warehousing and data integration experience – excellent understanding of industry standards and best practices
• Expertise in Teradata data warehouse technology and architecture is required
• In depth knowledge of techniques, models, processes, methodologies, and plans within solution architecture disciplines
• Exceptionally strong skills in planning and coordination
• Proven track record in large scale data warehousing and business intelligence projects
• Strong communication, engagement, and conflict resolution skills
• Being able to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence, communicating and explaining architecture and design to individuals with diverse background
• Working effectively in a team of strong individuals for achieving a shared goal
• Able to communicate on all layers in the organization – and being able to translate between technical language and business language
• Possessing the ability to balance and find compromises between opposing forces and opinions, within architectural boundaries and decisions
• Fluent in oral and written English
• Thrives in an international environment
