Maersk Drilling provides high efficiency drilling services to oil companies around the world and has some of the world's most efficient offshore drilling rigs and several newbuilds on order. We want to strengthen and continue improve our commercial performance which includes possessing in-depth customer and product knowledge, building strong customer relationship, ensuring a profound market understanding and capturing value for what we deliver.
You will be managing a team of commercial managers located in Lyngby and Stavanger with the commercial responsibility for Maersk Drilling’s 13 jack-up drilling rigs and customers in the North Sea area as well as customers and potential future activities in the US, Latin America and Africa.
|You and your team will be responsible for establishing and further developing close relations with our customers, handle complex cross-functional tender processes and negotiate and conclude new contracts including contract management for existing contracts and rendering support to our asset teams. |
You will also be expected to explore new opportunities within your geographical area of responsibility and together with our investment/divestment function come up with new business opportunities which meet the strategic ambitions of Maersk Drilling.
A key success factor is that you in close corporation with other departments in Maersk Drilling ensure that Maersk Drilling’s value proposition and differentiators are well articulated and leveraged to secure continuous employment at the best possible terms and conditions. It is expected that you can lead, motivate and develop your team and that you are able to apply your commercial capabilities in a structured fashion while fully understanding our drilling rigs and operational service delivery model.
Our work space is close to our customers and whether negotiating contracts, exploring business opportunities or attending performance meetings you should be prepared to travel as deemed necessary.

You are driven and know what it takes for you and your team to successfully work with cross-functional stakeholders in order to deliver to our customers. Likewise you have an interest in the technical and operational aspects of offshore drilling business allowing you to communicate effectively with relevant stakeholders within our customers’ organization.
